six fluorescent bulbs were installed inside a manhole in the São Paulo's central region, where they remained lit for three nights. my intention was to invert their customary condition as 'passive receivers' and transform a place subjacent to movements imprinted upon the city into aluminous transmitter. in this project, intervention and reception were conceived as a continuous space, an inter-textual field articulating two realities - the material reality of the urban space and the sensory reality of the perceived or transformed space.
